Cultivating a new brand platform for a FTSE 100 Company through botanical-inspired innovation.
A client with a global portfolio and legacy constraints in a rapidly evolving consumption category was looking to invent a future for their business that would unlock new ritual behaviors rooted in botanical ingredients.
We started by uncovering inspiration from the fringes-to-mainstream culture through Innovation Safaris
in Tokyo, Seoul, Moscow, Milan, and Portland to create fertile ground for ideation. We then shaped the insights and ideas into five concepts for brand platforms using our FutureCodes
and ImaginAction Sprints
methods. Finally, by taking the concepts through an iterative, multi-method research approach, we selected and refined the platform with the highest interest, resonance, and appeal.
Our work resulted in defining a new destination for botanical-inspired sensorial products designed to maximize growth potential for the brand and achieve market leadership ahead of the competition.
